Steven Csorba is available for commissions of original works (acrylic and mixed media on canvas or board) of athletes and sporting subject matter. He will also paint individual portraits upon request. The following conditions and fee structure apply to all commissioned works. Costs are approximate and additional fees may be required for images requiring more detail (works requiring trophies, crowd scenes, etc), research or additional preliminary “work-up” sketches.
The customer must supply high quality photographs for the artist to work from.
If photographs are not available then the artist will take his own photographs of the athlete performing. The customer must provide access and accreditation to the sporting event of the subject athlete and pay for all costs associated with travel and expenses.
The artist will always complete preliminary trial sketches which will belong to the artist unless otherwise negotiated.
A 50% deposit is required upfront before any work is started. The balance is due upon completion of the artwork.
The artist will own the copyright unless otherwise negotiated.
Most commissions take 2-3 weeks to complete.

Limited Editions Giclee Prints Series
Csorba can also print and publish limited edition original Giclee prints based on the commissioned artwork. In this case the customer must obtain the proper and necessary trademark permissions from the athlete’s club and/ or organizing league. All of the printing is done by Steven in his printmaking studio, using only archival inks on the finest 100% acid free cotton rag papers and archival quality canvas with protective coatings.
Csorba will hand-sign and number each print and provide a Certificate of Authenticity. The pricing structure is based on two scenarios.
Charity Use: If the patron/athlete wishes to use 100% of the edition for fundraising purposes to support their charity of choice or as gifts for relatives, friends and community volunteers.
Marketing Use: If the patron/athlete wishes to pursue revenue generating opportunities for profit.

Original Gilcee Prints
All of the prints are made by Csorba in his printmaking studio, using only archival inks on the finest 100% acid free cotton rag paper, Hahnemuehle Photo Rag® Pearl 320.
Csorba’s printmaking involves the intersection of the oldest and the newest printmaking methods and technologies.
His complex digital re-workings of original painting utilize traditional painting, drawing, print-making and hand colouring techniques to add emphasis or subtlety of tone, color, contrast and texture. The process to create each original print may take 15–30 hours, sometimes longer to get the desired effect.
