The following ideas will serve as visual metaphors and symbolism in the painting which will measure 7 x 11 feet in size.

BACKGROUND LAYERS

1. 1.Six Old Rusty Bikes – “Rust Never Sleeps”, serves as a foundation. The rust is a metaphor for artistic and athletic vitality. In other words, by staying the same, one is vulnerable to the corrosive effects of aging and obsolescence. By moving forward and innovating, one can try and stay ahead of the relentless onslaught of time, remain vital and "rust free". The old rusted bikes will be covered up by the powerful words of inspiration and layers of fresh new paint - symbolic of the “renewed life” after cancer.
   

2. 2.LiveStrong words woven though everything as repeated wallpaper. They will serve as a “visual DNA” that gives meaning to all of the key words. i.e LiveStrong through your Passion, LiveStrong through your Hope, LiveStrong by helping others, LiveStrong by Empowering yourself with Knowledge , etc
   

3. 3.Key Words: Unity In Strength.  Knowledge is Power. Attitude is Everything. Activate Hope.
   

4. 4.Da Vinci like scientific outlines /schematics will define Lance’s physiological superiorities. The first is the fact that Armstrong became a stronger, more powerful cyclist after the onset of his cancer and its successful treatment in 1997.  His heart is 30% larger than a normal persons, VO2 max, muscular efficiency, femurs (thigh bones) are longer so he can develop better leverage, his pedaling is more bio-mechanically efficient, etc.

5. 5.The Racing Image of Lance is the “seventh image of a bike. This “7th bike is symbolic of his “7” Tour de France victories.
   

6. 6.The wings attached to “Lance’s racing Bike” painting symbolizes a powerful eagle ready to take flight and the vast and powerful potential that resides within all of us. It represents the possibilities of what happens when you help others.
   

7. 7.An small outline or silhouette of Lances full body with arms open outwards will hover at the top of the painting. It’s height above the word cancer and everything else in the painting including the “7” bikes symbolizes his greatest achievement in life: conquering cancer and helping 1,000’s of others to do the same.
   

8. 8.An graffiti spray-painted silhouette of an 8th bike is symbolic that there IS more to come from Lance. His inspiration will LiveStrong Forever.
