The Art of Hope Project provides individuals and businesses with the opportunity to participate in activating hope all over the world.

You can help make a positive impact on battling cancer by purchasing two framed Steven Csorba Art of Hope prints in recognition of outstanding people who have volunteered time to make a difference in the life or lives of those battling cancer here in Alberta and all over the world. One of the framed prints will be donated (for public display) to any one of the Caritas Hospital facilities, Cancer facilities in the province of Alberta or a participating Provincial or State facilities in the United States. The second print will be gifted directly to the volunteer being recognized.

By showcasing some of these individuals contributions and achievements, their stories will inspire others in both the battle to beat cancer – but also to recognize the impact of addressing the importance of the quality of life.  Activating Hope becomes more than just treating the cancer – but treating the person as well.

In Memory of a Loved One or Survivor

The Art of Hope campaign is also encouraging individuals and corporations to donate prints in memory of a loved one or survivor to the various healthcare providing facilities for permanent display in Alberta. Through the partnership with the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Caritas Hospital Foundation, the opportunity will be available for Art donations to be made to any of the seventeen (17) Cancer clinics that are managed by the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Not only will the proceeds from the sale of the sets go to collaboration & research initiative, but the Art itself will provide a lasting source of Hope in places where Hope is needed most.

Visual Arts Awareness

The Arts in Medicine Program helped Steven tap into inner resources and strengths. The program embraces life and healing through the self-empowering act of creativity and the aesthetic benefits of art. And from viewing Steven’s art, it’s obvious to see the boundless energy and symbolism of hope that the program helped develop.

Accomplishing the Goal

Steven will accomplish the goal of raising $1 Million dollars through the sale of his art. All proceeds from the sale of the Art will go towards forming this new program, as Steven’s goal is to create a model for patient information exchange, where the person, not just the cancer is treated. This program will give people battling cancer the resources and tools to improve their quality of life while battling cancer, and emerge not just survivors, but as stronger members of society.

Donation Insights

The Art of Hope is searching for individuals or businesses to recognize volunteers or loved ones through this unique donation of art. For The Art of Hope Volunteer Recognition Program, they will be asked to purchase two framed prints and then donating one print to one of the Caritas Hospitals or Cancer clinics run by the Alberta Cancer Foundation. The other print would be gifted to the volunteer being recognized. The donors of art may select from one of the 41 Art of Hope images.  Individual donations made on the behalf of loved ones can be single or multiple print donations to the cancer clinic or a participating hospital of choice.

All Art of Hope Volunteer Recognition Donors will be acknowledged in the form of a thank you on the framed print. (They may also be selected to appear on a Global TV’s segment which would feature their sponsored volunteer).  The donor’s name and date of donation will be engraved on the matting or framing, and a charitable tax receipt from the corresponding organization that the donation was made to will be issued. (The tax receipt process will be managed by The Art of Hope campaign.)

Through this purchase and donation process, the seeds of Hope that are imbedded in Steven’s Art, which helped him defeat his cancer, will be made available to others to help facilitate the Belief in Hope, Energy and Survival.

Recognizing and Promoting the Good in People

Each volunteer (and the corresponding Global TV Health Matters show segment) is chosen and produced based on a specific sub-theme which showcases a special human quality that was genuinely and consistently used to help others. These virtues and qualities are then highlighted and promoted as key values that others can aspire to. They will help to frame each interview and will also provide for diverse, inspiring and interesting content for television viewers.
